USCF Voting Member Registration

Notice: In order to vote in the next USCF Executive Board election (2015), eligible members need to have registered by 11:59:59 PM Central Time on May 1st of that election year.

Due to a change in the Bylaws made by the Delegates in 2010, effective with the 2011 Executive Board election, voting members will have to be registered in order to be eligible to vote. Only registered eligible voting members will be sent a ballot.

In order to be qualified to register as a USCF Voting Member, you must be a current USCF member who will be 16 or older on June 30th of the upcoming election cycle. You must have a USCF membership that has a one year or longer term, 2 or 3 month memberships are not eligible to vote.

You must register as a voting member by May 1st of an election year in order to be eligible to vote in that year's election, and you must also be a current USCF member for the entire day on May 5th. (This means that if your USCF membership is due to lapse on or before April 30th, you must renew or rejoin no later than 11:59:59 PM Central Time on May 4th.)

Providing that your USCF membership remains current, you will only need to register once. However, your voter registration will lapse if your USCF membership lapses for more than 28 days, and you will need to re-register as a voting member again after you rejoin the USCF. (And you must re-register by May 1st of an election year to be eligible for that year's election.)

You will need to enter your USCF ID and either your PIN or your birthdate in order to confirm your identity. Your PIN is a five digit number (no letters and any leading zero is required) and can be found on the back cover of Chess Life or the TLA Newsletter. If you do not know your PIN, you can also request it be sent to you by email at

All accesses using this page will be logged.

Note that in order to comply with Illinois law, registered voters may be included in mailing lists ordered for electioneering purposes even if the member has requested that his name and address be withheld from such lists.

If you are eligible to be a USCF Voting Member but are not currently registered as a USCF Voting Member, you will have the option to register after fetching your current voting member status.
